Cathy Rush spoke at BMA breakfast today

Our President Jack Glacken attended another BCA (Business Clubs of America) Hospitality Breakfast this morning, as a guest of Ed Stefanski Jr. of Kistler Tiffany Benefits, at the Union League in Philadelphia. Guest Speaker Cathy Rush who established herself as a leader in women’s sports while coaching basketball at Immaculata College in Pennsylvania and won three consecutive National AIAW Championships (1972, 1973 & 1974), spoke today before a truly inspired crowd. Tim Chambers, who co-wrote, directed and produced the award winning film THE MIGHTY MACS was also in attendance. THE MIGHTY MACS is based on the incredible true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women’s basketball. This team of pioneers went from barely making that inaugural tournament to the first dynasty in their game. And Cathy Rush, the woman that was ahead of her time, became immortalized when she was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
