TGI’s a Gold Sponsor at Wilm U Green & White Ball

Wilmington University has established an annual fundraiser to help students realize their dreams for a degree in higher education and TGI will again sponsor the event this coming Saturday Night as a Gold Sponsor.

The Green and White Scholarship Ball is a Black Tie/Masquerade Party that will feature themed venues of food, beverages, cocktails and music in a program that will transform the University classroom building into an exciting party atmosphere that will highlight the region’s best restaurants, specialty foods, beverages and music. TGI helped the staff at WilmU market the annual Green & White Ball by producing a 3 minute video shown on our “Pixel” webpage.

We’ve lost a friend…Steve Jobs.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, the Graphics Arts industry went through a major revolution caused by the advent of Desktop Publishing and of course, the Apple Computer. And although that revolution caused substantial turmoil for us at TGI, a Typography House in those days, it has opened up an endless world of opportunities for our organization. So as the world mourns the passing of Steve Jobs, we at TGI also salute and thank this remarkable pioneer. Apple’s Board of Directors said it best in a statement released after his death…

“Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.”
