Objectives
Honeywell’s Scanning and Mobility division needed a more efficient way to produce and distribute promotional materials to their international distributor network. These materials were vital to Honeywell’s distributors as one of their primary selling tools, yet demands were becoming increasingly taxing on corporate resources, costing the company and its distributors thousands of dollars per year. Management wanted a solution that would streamline the process, reduce dependency on resources, and provide distributors with the flexibility to personalize their marketing materials.
Challenge
Marketing materials were vital to the distributor network, yet demands were becoming increasingly taxing on the department. Management wanted a solution that continued to drive sales, yet did not require ongoing corporate resources. To develop an effective plan, Honeywell relied on TGIs marketing portal as a resource for building their brand.

TGI Solution
It was a tall order, but with TGI, anything is possible. TGI worked with Honeywell to develop a new marketing support plan that would leverage the latest technologies. In just a few weeks, TGI created a Honeywell-specific online marketing portal where internal partners and distributors could order a variety of corporately approved marketing materials including data sheets, case studies, reference guides, white papers, postcards, posters, advertisements on demand, and more.
Resembling the consumer-friendly Amazon.com shopping model, Honeywell’s new storefront offers more than 70 different marketing templates and is accessible 24 x 7. Distributors can track shipping online, too. TGI’s technology also enables distributors to personalize materials with local information, headlines and logos – they simply click on the item, edit it, drop it into their shopping carts, and select the quantity – as few or as many as needed. Mailing lists can even be uploaded so materials can be printed and shipped directly to distributors’ customers.
“TGI’s solution was creative and effective – most importantly, it has saved us thousands of dollars annually,” said [Name], [Title] at Honeywell. “And, because the self-service portal is so easy to use and the process is so efficient, more of our distributors than ever are using our marketing materials, getting our product information and brand in front of more and more prospects everyday.”

Results
In addition to automating much of the day-to-day administrative processes of providing marketing materials to channel partners and resellers, TGI’s easy-to-use portal has increased distributor interest in actively selling the Honeywell brand. Since implementing the solution, Honeywell has seen an XX% increase in marketing materials used and an XX% increase in overall sales. The solution has also reduced costs through TGI’s print-on-demand capabilities, enabling distributors to order only what they need when they need it.
Finally, Honeywell has expanded the use of its TGI marketing support portal to distributors, partners, and resellers all over the world to make it easier for the Fortune 500 company to go global. For example, the site now has multi-lingual capabilities to enable global distributors to view the storefront in their preferred language. And, Honeywell takes advantage of TGI’s Global Hubcast network that provides on-demand and traditional printing services on a local level throughout South America and the Asia-Pacific region. With Hubcast, companies can avoid the hassles and costs of printing domestically but shipping materials international, all while maintaining brand consistency.
