Today’s Graphics Inc. (TGI), a Philadelphia, PA based digital print company, is seeking a facilities management team to launch and operate a digital print operation in our client’s Greensboro, NC facility.
The team will be responsible for implementing company policies and procedures, maintaining company standards and delivering results in a fast paced on-demand environment.
Essential responsibilities
- Ensure predetermined financial and productivity achievement
- Manage production process and staff to achieve highest level of efficiency and quality
- Play a significant role in planning and documenting goals
- Create and organize long term operational policies and procedures
- Maintain positive working environment conducive to teamwork
- Conduct regular meetings with home office, facility, and client teams
Required skills
- At least 5 years experience in cross-functional environment
- Strong background in operations in print facility
- Experience in organizational effectiveness and best practices
- Demonstrated leadership
- Ability to multi-task and perform all subordinate duties
Essential responsibilities
- Impose jobs to ensure efficiency and economies of scale
- Prepare electronic files for HP Indigo and other digital devises
- Continuously seek to improve processes, eliminating product and process non-conformance
- Naming and archiving of final files to agreed company procedures
Required skills
- Mac and PC experience with software knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites software and other standard print software programs including Acrobat Quark Xpress,
Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign
- Experience with imposition software
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high pressure work environment
- Have an understanding of printing and bindery processes
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- A strong work ethic that focuses on professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy and commitment to deadlines
Essential responsibilities
- Set up and operate digital printing press equipment including HP Indigo 7000 presses
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment to ensure its optimum operation
- Trouble-shoot equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedule.
Required skills
- Technically and mechanically oriented with press experience
- Ideal candidate has two or more years experience operating/maintaining HP Indigo and OCE equipment
- The ability to multitask in a fast paced, high pressure work environment
- Basic prepress knowledge a plus
- The ability to lift 40 lbs
Essential responsibilities
- Binding printed materials by setting-up and operating bindery equipment; verifying quality; maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Achieves production and quality standards by observing equipment operations; detecting malfunctions and deviations; adjusting controls.
- Maintains supplies inventory
- Improves quality results by implementing process-improvement changes
Required skills
- Experience with set-up and running of cutters, folders, and Horizon collator/stitcher
- Self starter
Candidates must be detail oriented, focused on delivering accurate results, and effective in communicating to corporate leaders, home office and peers. Candidates must also work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multi-task, and have excellent knowledge of digital print process.
